This Horror was 'Goosebumps' on steriods, and definataly my favorite film of the year.
The protagonist was your stereotypical helpless girl kidnapped by the villain. Using Action codes, such as seeing the back of a man watching her, gave the audicence an inclin that someone was coming for her, revealing the storyline to the audience. Having long shots at the start of the film showed how the princess was a free spirit and had nothing holding her back, but as it continued, when she got kidnapped, using close up's connoted how drastically her life had changed, and how the villain was suffocating her with her capture.
This film served its purpose on giving the audience a scare, and even forced me to look over my shoulder a few times in the dark.
